Maderas Golf Club’s golf blog has been named one of the “Best 100 Golf Blogs on the Internet” by Feedspot.com, an online content reader that allows users to put all of their online reading in one place.

The Maderas golf blog is ranked 46th on Feedspot.com’s top 100 list and is the only golf course blog ranked. The all-encompassing list also includes Golf Channel (No. 1), ESPN Golf (No. 2) and Global Golf Post (No. 18) among others. In the ranking, Feedspot.com reviewed websites discussing the latest golf news, tips, the best golf equipment, travel, betting, players and courses. Blogs were ranked based on following criteria:

  • Google reputation and Google search ranking
  • Influence and popularity on Facebook, twitter and other social media sites
  • Quality and consistency of posts.
  • Feedspot’s editorial team and expert review

“It’s exciting to be listed among the ‘top 100 golf blogs’ in the world,” Maderas Golf Club General Manager Michael Flickinger said. “We work hard to continually keep the Maderas golf blog fresh with news, information and opinion. The blog is another way to interact with our guests and with golf fans around the world. Maderas may be the first and only course in the world to be named a ‘Top 100 Golf Course’ and a ‘Top 100 Golf Blog.’”

Maderas Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media Corey Ross has written and edited Maderas’ blog for the last two years. The blog is all-encompassing about events and news about Maderas. The content topics range from golf, GolfBoard and video lessons to weddings and dining events at Maderas as well as occassinally goings on throughout San Diego and compiles also Maderas course reviews.

This is the second social media honor for Maderas in 2016. Earlier this year it received the Rock Star Award from Troon Golf, which designated Maderas has having the best social media amongst all of Troon Golf’s North American properties, including Hawaii.
